About Mikaela

Mikaela grew up in the small town of Bayonne, NJ with her large and loving Filipino American family. Homeschooled until seventh grade, she spent most of her spare time in dance classes and church choirs. Her love of theatre began at just eight years old, with her debut production of High School Musical. Her passion for the arts blossomed at High Tech High School where she majored in Musical Theatre and Dance. Recently, she received her BFA in Dance with a minor in Musical Theatre from the University of the Arts.

She believes that her sole purpose is to use her gifts to make an impact as a BIPOC artist by breaking into stories that previously did not include the BIPOC community. Her hope is to pave the way for future generations and be part of the change to make the theatre industry a more welcoming and diverse place.
